Offence gainst ITI clerk for possessing unaccountable assets
Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Apr 30 (UNI) Sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today registered an offence against a clerk working with the government-run Industrial Training Institute (ITI) at Khultabad, near here, for possessing assets worth Rs 8.86 lakh disproportionate to his income.
Acting on an anonymous complaint seeking inquiry into the unaccountable assets of Sunil Prabhatrao Chaudhary, the ACB team, led by DySP Pravin Kulkarni conducted investigations in the case, a release here said.
The ACB investigations revealed that Mr Chaudhary could possess assets amounting to Rs 3.89 lakh after fulfilling his necessary requirements during the period of nine years, since he has been recruited in the service.
However, it was found that he possessed total assets worth Rs 12.75 lakh, which was surplus by Rs 8.86 lakh than his known sources of income, the release said.
The ACB has registered an offence against the clerk under various sections of the Anti Corruption Act, the release added.
