No respite from summer heat for Kolkatans

Kolkata, Apr 30 (UNI) The Alipore Met office today dashed all hopes of Kolkatans as it forecast no rainfall in the city over the next 24 hours.

A partly cloudy sky since morning had the Kolkatans hoping for some thunder showers to bring down the soaring temperatures.

However, the Met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky with the maximum temperature to be around 36 degrees Celsius.

The maximum temperature recorded today was 35.8 degrees Celsius while the minimum was 27.1 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal.

The humidity was high at 94 per cent.
