LeT militant killed, 4 hideouts busted in Jammu
Jammu, Apr 30 (UNI) Security forces gunned down a hardcore militant of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) in an encounter at Rajouri and busted four hideouts, recovering huge quantity of arms and ammunitions, at different places in this region of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources today said.
The militant, identified as Abu Hamza alias Shamsher, was shot dead in an encounter at Tulwani in Budhal area of Rajouri district.
One AK rifle, 23 rounds, four magazines and 3 grenades were recovered from the slain militant.
Security forces arrested an over ground worker (OGW) of the militants identified as Aldin Gujjar resident of Breshwana in Doda.
A hideout made for the militants in his house was destroyed. Aldin was later handed over to police for interrogation.
During a search operation, security forces recovered 10 UBGL grenades, one AK magazine, 95 rounds and a radio set from Cherwari, Nachlana in Mahore area of Reasi district.
They also recovered a Chinese pistol with one magazine and three rounds, three AK rounds, 70 pika rounds, six Chinese hand grenades, one RPG rounds, a radio set, four electronic detonators and half kg RDX from Phugal Nullah in Krishna Ghat area of Poonch.
In the afternoon operation, Army troops while acting on a tip-off, recovered four Chinese grenades, 40 AK rounds and 10 bullets of INSAS rifle from a cattle-shed at Bheri area of Doda district, a spokesman said.
