Inmates threaten to blow up MP jail

Shahdol, MP, Apr 30 (UNI) Inmates at the district jail today threatened to blow up the prison after taking control within the main gate and taking three constables hostage following a dispute with a constable, prison sources said.

Constable Dinesh Singh had to be admitted to the District Hospital after inmate Narendra Shukla assaulted him. Later, inmates used LPG cylinders to block the gate from within.

Officials of the police and jail administration rushed to the spot and attempts were being made to pacify the inmates.
