Government warns employees on mass casual leave tomorrow
Gandhinagar, Apr 30 (UNI) The General Administration department of the State government has issued a warning of service break to those government employees, who resort to go on a one-day mass casual leave tomorrow, protesting against the State's apathy towards solving their long pending demands.
Deputy Secretary V B Trivedi, in a release here today, said that those who are taking leave without approval tomorrow will be treated as absentees and there will be break in their service. The employees also stand to lose a day's salary, he said.
Gujarat Rajya Karmachari Sankalan Samiti has called for a one day mass casual on May one across the State in protest against the State's apathy towards solving their long pending demands. The Samiti has also requested over two lakh teachers attached to the government run schools to join the token protest programme.
The Union is demanding the implementation of 50 percent DA merger and its benefits from April one, 2004, Acceptance of pay anomalies report as directed by Gujarat High Court, Taluka and district-level allotment of residential plots to employees on the lines of one in Gandhinagar, re-introduction of leave travel concession and recruitment of relatives of deceased employees on compassionate grounds with full salary.
