Four tribals injured in wild bear's attack
Shahdol, MP, Apr 30 (UNI) Four tribals were injured, three of them seriously, when they were mauled by a wild bear at Lakhanpur village in Amarkantak in Annupur district, police said today.
Annupur Divisional Forest Officer M C Bansal said a wild bear, who had strayed in the area, entered Babulal Kol's house and attacked him on April 27.
Kulli Bai, who was sleeping nearby, was also attacked. When they raised an alarm, Govind Kol and Parvatiya reached there but were also attacked.
The injured were admitted to Annupur primary healthcare centre from where they were shifted to Shahdol district hospital.
The Forest Department provided Rs 500 as compensation to the family members of the injured.
