Former minister charged with murder

Lalitpur, Apr 30 (UNI) A case has been registered here against former Uttar Pradesh minister Virendra Singh Bundela and his family members for hatching a conspiracy against the murderer of his son.

Police Superintendent V P Singh today said yesterday some assailants had fired at Jairam Singh's car, who was the main accused in the murder of Mr Bundela's son Sanjay.

Later, Jairam lodged a complaint against Mr Bundela, his son Pawan and brother Puran for making an attempt on his life.

The former state minister is also a candidate from Lalitpur constituency on the ruling Samajwadi Party ticket.

His brother Puran is a Congress candidate from Mehrauni seat.

A probe is on, but no arrest has been made.
