Fake currency racket worth Rs two lakh busted; three arrested

Bhavnagar, April 30 (UNI) The police today busted a fake currency racket and arrested three persons in connection with seizure of counterfeit notes worth Rs 2 lakh from Varachcha road area of Surat.

Acting on a tip-off, the Surat police arrested Arwind Purshottam Rathod and Vallabh Manaji Barraiya, residents of Bhavnagar who revealed the name of their third accomplice Purushottamdas Devmurari, who owned printing press of fake currency note in Bhavnagar, police sources said.

They raided the printing press and confiscated fake currency worth Rs two lakh, sources added.
