Election observer booked under loot, life threat charges

Bahraich, Apr 30 (UNI) An election observer has been booked under charges of loot and issuing death threats to a BSF jawan here.

District Magistrate Shankar Lal Pandey today said here that election observer Arvind Kumar had snatched the rifle of a BSF jawan on the night of April 23 and threatened to kill him.

The BSF was here for the poll duty.

A primary investigation ascertained the charges against Arvind and subsequently, an FIR was lodged against him at the Dargah Sharif police station today, the DM informed.
