CPI(ML-Liberation) Nandigram rally to protest SEZ
Siliguri, Apr 30 (UNI) The CPI (ML-Liberation) will organise a ''Nandigram'' rally originating from Naxalbari here tomorrow to mobilise public support against the Left Front Government's alleged forcible acquisition of agriculatural land for industrialisation in West Bengal.
CPI(ML-Liberation) national secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya told a news conference here today that some 50 party activists would criss-cross the roads on vehicles to reach Nandigram to protest the government's Special Economic Zone (SEZ) policy.
He said he would lead the rally from Naxalbari, the birthplace of Naxaslite movement in the 70s, to Nandigram in East Midnapore to protest land acquisition by the government.
Mr Bhattacharya alleged the ruling Left Front, which had fought for landless farmers in the 70s has now turned into a ''land-shark''. He said the present government was now grabbing farmland from farmers and selling hose to the capitalist.
