Mumbai, Apr 30 (UNI) Chandresh Shah, an estate agent, owing allegiance to Hasina Parkar, younger sister of Underworld don Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar and SRA builders, today moved an Anticipatory Bail Application in the session court fearing his arrest in the case.

Additional Session Court Judge A B Nirgude directed the prosecution to clarify the role of the applicant in the case and also apprise the court about how the case was transferred from Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) to Anti Extortion Cell (AEC).

The matter has been adjourned to May three for argument.

Defence advocate Abbad Ponda told the court that his client was falsely implicated in the case and that he had only introduced Vinod Avlani to a builder Jayesh Shah for the development of Slum area in Wadala.

Prosecution is claiming that S Shukla and R Shukla had fixed a meeting at Hasina Parkar's house with a group of builders and estate agents to discuss the Wadala Slum Rehabilitation Scheme.

It may be recalled that builder Krishnamilan Shukla alias Baba and Sandeep Shukla from Builder tech Engineer were arrested by the Anti Extortion Cell (AEC) last Tuesday. Their anticipatory bail application (ABA) was rejected by the court.

They had filed a First Information Report (FIR) with the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) in December last year against Senior Police Inspector of Crime Branch-Unit-I Anil Mahabole and Inspector Rajendra Nikam alleging that they were extorting money (Rs 10 lakh) from them through broker Chandresh Shah.

Shah, who is allegedly linked with Parkar, was trapped by the ACB while taking Rs 1.5 lakh from Baba Shukla.
