Catholic secular forum protests attack on Pastor
Mumbai, Apr 30 (UNI) The Catholic Secular Forum (CSF), a city-based activist community organisation, today condemned the attack on Pastor Walter Masih by the alleged right-wing miscreants in Jaipur.
The forum expressed its anguish over the attack and said that it was more shocking as the attack was undertaken in broad daylight, in close proximity of Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhra Raje Scindia's official residence, a release issued here today said.
''The CSF calls upon the bishops and laity organizations to register their protests by fax, post and e-mail and circulated the contact details of State Governor Pratibha Patil. Chief Minister and Home Minister to the community,'' Joseph Dias, CSF General Secretary said in the release.
The CSF has also submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister and Union Home Minister, in which it has stated the Christian minorities in Rajasthan live in constant fear of such attacks and are not free to practice their faith, as gauranteed by the Constitution, the release added.
