Call money ends at 9.00-9.25 per cent

Mumbai, Apr 30 (UNI) Call money rates today closed at 9.00-9.25 per cent compared to its previous close of 8-9 per cent on Friday.

During the day, it touched a high of 9.50 per cent and a low of 7.75 per cent.

Demand at the start of a new fortnight was on the higher side.

Consequently, liquidity remained under pressure, which was evident from the LAF window, the dealers said.

At the LAF window, the RBI received one bid worth Rs 15 crore at the 3-day reverse repo window while 40 bids worth Rs 15,975 crore were accepted at the 3-day repo window.

In the CBLO segment, 307 bids of Rs 14,554 crore were traded in the range of 7.20-8.75 per cent. Call rates are likely to trade around the current level with upcoming bond auction worth Rs 10,000 crore, the dealers added.

The call money market will remain closed on Tuesday on account of 'Maharashtra Day'.
