BSF Asst Commandent killed, 4 jawans hurt in accident

Varanasi, Apr 30 (UNI) A Border Security Force (BSF) Assistant Commandent was killed and four jawans hurt when their offficial vehicle overturned into a gorge in Chaubeypur area here this evening.

Police said the accident occurred, when a jeep carrying jawans of 20th Battalion of BSF (Punjab) on election duty from Chitrakoot to the neighbouring Ghazipur district, overturned near Bhandaha.

While Assistant Commandent Sardar Swarup Singh (40) succumbed instantly, four jawans including T K Kumar (driver), Ramvir and P S Mandal were later admitted to a private hospital in the city with serious injuries.
