BJP condemns J'khand Education Minister's misbehaviour with scribes
Ranchi, Apr 30 (UNI) The BJP today condemned Jharkhand Education Minister Bandhu Tirkey's alleged misbehaviour with scribes and demanded his immediate resignation.
Meeting the press here at his residence yesterday, Mr Tirkey suddenly lost his temper while clarifying a news item regarding the CBI interrogating him in a case during his tenure as a bank employee.
Mr Tirkey singled out local dailies and a electronic channels to vent his ire.
He claimed that he would resign if he was found guilty.
BJP state spokesperson Biranchi Narayan, while reacting to the incident, said if the minister, as a bank employee, was not involved in the case of forged bank pass books, then he would have exercised restraint in front of the media.
The BJP ridiculed the ''resignation stunt'' by Mr Tirkey and apprehended that if the minister did not step down then it might come in the way of smooth investigation by the CBI.
He further said that if Mr Tirkey did not resign, the governor should act in haste to allow a fair probe into the matter.
