Bharati gets Rs 266.32cr order from Great Offshore

New Delhi, Apr 30 (UNI) Bharati Shipyard Ltd today said it has signed a contract worth Rs 266.32 crore with Great Offshore for construction and supply of a multipurpose offshore support vessel.

The order is in lieu of a smaller, 17.44 million dollar contract, signed on March 24, 2006, also for a multipurpose support vessel, Bharati said in a statement.

Great offshore is a prominent integrated offshore oilfield services provider.

The vessel has a diesel electric propulsion system with five generators of a total power of 10,500 KW (14,000 HP). It has all the equipment to support ROV/ Diving/ Sub sea operations.

The machine is equipped with a dynamic positioning system and integrated power management system with full redundancy for DP2 operation.

Among other features, the vessel has a helipad and Anchor handling cum towing winch of 300 T.
