Ludhiana, Apr 30 (UNI) A local court today once again issued non-bailable arrest warrants against a former Congress minister and five others in the multi-crore Ludhiana City Centre scam in which former Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh is an accused among 18 others.

Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Kuldip Singh issued the warrants for former minister Choudhry Jagjit Singh, former Ludhiana Improvement Trust (LIT) chairman Paramjit Singh Sibia, Congress leader Capt Rajesh and three officials of Today Homes and Infrastructure---Sanjiv Gupta, Saurabh Gupta and S A H Naqvi.

The City Centre project was executed by Today Homes during the previous Congress government regime under the guidance of LIT, which was directly under the jurisdiction of then Local Bodies minister Choudhry Jagjit Singh.

The anticipatory bail applications of Choudhry Jagjit Singh, Sanjiv Gupta and Saurabh Gupta had been rejected by the Additional District and Session court last week.

Capt Singh has, however, got bail till July from the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The City Centre scam was probed by the state Vigilance Bureau and a case was registered thereafter against Capt Singh and others.

This for the second time that the warrants have been issued against the six. Earlier, the CJM had, about 20 days ago, issued the warrants against them. All the six are yet to be arrested by the Vigilance Bureau.
