3 die in separate incidents

Barrackpore, Apr 30 (UNI) At least three people died in separate incidents in this sub-division today, police said.

A motorcyclist of Kankinara was killed and his pillion rider seriously injured when a truck rammed into the bike early today.

Police said the driver fled with the truck. The injured youth was admitted to Bhatpara State Hospital in a critical condition.

In another incident, a 40-year-old man, allegedly stabbed by his nephew at Garulia in North 24 Parganas district yesterday, succumbed to his injuries in hospital today, police said.

Police later informed that the incident could be the outcome of a family feud.

Meanwhile, police recovered the body of a farmer, a resident of Panpur, this morning. The body was found hanging from a tree.

Police suspect that some assailants hung the man after killing him. No arrest has been made so far, police informed.
