Walkathon for kids in Guwahati

Guwahati, Apr 29 (UNI) Young children thronged the streets of Guwahati this morning to participate in a ''walk with a mission''.

About 200 underprivileged children, from various shelter homes and orphanages in the city, participated in a walkathon, organised by Reliance Mobile and radio station Big 92.7 FM.

With its tag line of ''A Mile for a Smile'', the walkathon indeed brought smiles to the faces of these children, visibly excited to participate in such an event.

The walkathon ended at a children's park, where the participants staged various cultural programmes.

They displayed their singing, dancing and other creative talents and won applause from the entire audience.
