Three charred to death as lorries collide

Tumkur, Karnataka, Apr 29 (UNI) Three persons were charred to death when two lorries, including one loaded with match box bundles, collided and caught fire at Sira in this district today.

Police said a soft drink laden truck coming from Chitradurga collided with a mini lorry carrying match box bundles coming from the opposite direction. Due to the impact of the collision, the two vehicles caught fire and the two drivers were burnt to death on spot. The cleaner who suffered third degree burns died in Sira hospital.

The dead were yet to be identified, Police added.
