Sub inspector arrested on rape charge

Jammu, Apr 29 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Police have a arrested suspended Sub Inspector, who allegedly raped a girl during illegal custody in Karara post of Thathri police station in Doda district last night, official sources said here today.

Sources said incharge of Karara police post Irfan Wani, who had gone underground soon after the death of a youth Hrishi Kumar hailing from Dhoki Charala, was arrested by a special team.

Hrishi Kumar died due to torture at Karara police post. Wani also allegedly raped Hrishi's sister Ujala Devi in the police post. The police team has handed him over to Thathri police.
