Punjab government to ply new buses to religious places

Phagwara, Apr 29 (UNI) The Punjab Government will ply new buses to all historical and religious places on state and inter state routes.

Transport Minister Master Mohan Lal today said.

Talking to reporters after he had inspected the construction work in progress at the new bus stand here, he said that 19 new bus stands are to be constructed in the state, of which ten have either being completed or are nearing completion.

The minister made it clear that illegal plying of buses would not be allowed. He also stated that transport offices in the state were being computerised to provide quick and transparent services.

The minister said that there was no proposal to increase the bus fares in the near future.
