Protests continue against cwdt award

Mysore, Apr 29 (UNI) The protests, dharnas and road and rail roko agitations have been part of day for the last 84 days in Cauvery basin regions to protest the final award given by the Cauvery Water Disputes Tribunal.

In Mandya district, the farmers and other organisations continued their dharnas at Silver Jubilee Park led by Cauvery Raitha Hitarakshana Samithi and its President G Made Gowda.

Meanwhile, the Cauvery Krishna Kriya Samithi which has taken a awareness Jatha in Mandya district is visiting various villages giving details and impact of the Cauvery award.

Dharnas continued in the Mandya, Maddur, Srirangapatna and Pandavapura.

The Cauvery Kriya Samithi also continued its signature campaign at K R Circle in the city.
