Ujjain, MP, Apr 29 (UNI) A petition would be filed in the Supreme Court seeking transfer of hearing in the case of Professor H S Sabharwal's murder during a college election last year.

Prof Sabharwal's son Himanshu Sabharwal's counsel Kailash Nagar said investigation into the Professor's murder was not complete.

Besides, some police officials had altered their statements in the court but were not declared hostile.

He said a special prosecutor had not been made available despite Mr Himanshu placing a demand in this regard. Generally, such facility was provided immediately.

Mr Nagar said the prosecution did not cross-examine the witnesses.

He said senior advocate Vivek Tankha would file a petition in the apex court tomorrow seeking transfer of the case to some other state where the BJP Government was not in power and where the BJP could not influence the case.

Prof Sabharwal died on August 26, 2006, when he was attacked by students irked over postponement of students union polls of Madhav College.
