Police arrest a man for 'helping' train blast accused
Mumbai, Apr 29 (UNI) The Anti-Terrorist Squad of the Mumbai Police has arrested one Sandeep Amrutlal Maji for allegedly 'helping' an accused in the July 2006 suburban train blasts.
''We have arrested Maji from Mira Road on April 27 for helping one of the train blasts accused in getting a fake educational certificate,'' an ATS official said today.
A case has been registered against Maji, police said.
Maji was produced yesterday in a court, which remanded him to 14 days' police custody.
Seven powerful explosions had rocked first class compartments of Western Railway suburban local trains on July 11, killing more than 185 commuters and injuring over 600.
