Kolkatans suffer from severe 'Boishak' heat

Kolkata, Apr 29 (UNI) Kolkatans today experienced sweltering heat after the Nor'westers provided some relief yesterday.

The mercury soared as the maximum temperature was recorded at 35.2 degrees Celsius and the minimum at 25 degrees Celsius, one degree below normal.

The high humidity at 95 per cent added to the discomfort of the Kolkatans.

The Alipore Met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thunder showers in some areas towards the evening or at night.

The maximum temperature forecast was about 36 degrees Celsius.
