UP: Khaga to go for polls on May 24

Lucknow, Apr 29: Polling in the Khaga constituency in Fatepur district will be held on May 24.

Polling in the seat, which was to be held, today had been adjourned following the death of the Congress candidate Munna Lal Maurya on Thursday in a road accident.

State chief electoral officer (CEO) Anuj Kumar Bishnoi said that notification for the seat will be issued tomorrow while nominations may be filed by May 7.

Nominations will be verified on May 8 and candidates may take away their names till May 10, Mr Bishnoi added.

The counting of votes for the Khaga constituency will be held on May 28 and all the election works will be completed by May 31, he added.
