Jaya snubs MK's remarks on political decency
Chennai, Apr 29 (UNI) AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa today questioned the credibility of Chief Minister M Karunanidhi 'to talk about decency in politics'.
In a statement here, she recalled that under the instigation of Mr Karunanidhi, 'chappals' were hurled at late Chief Minister MGR and she also was humiliated in the state assembly years ago.
She pointed out that Mr Karunanidhi was pretending that he was not interested in celebrating the golden jubilee of his tenure in the Assembly. The Cheif Minister had said that the AIADMK was jealous of him.
''We are not jealous. We only pity him for his ignorance of knowing the difference between 38 years of service and 50 years,'' she said.
Ms Jayalalithaa also questioned the use of public money for such celebrations.
Such type of celebrations should be conducted by the DMK, she emphasised.
