Gulbarga records highest temperature 42.6 degree celsius

Bangalore Apr 29 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours today.

Rainfall occurred at isolated places over the State.

Chief amounts of Rainfall (cm): Dharwad, Jayapura 3 each, Humchadakatte, Kalasa 2 each, Kiravatti, Mangalore 1 each.

Maximum temperatures changed little over the State. They were above normal at many places being appreciably so at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and were appreciably above normal at a few places over Interior Karnataka.

Gulbarga recorded highest maximum temperature of 42.6 degree Celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until the Tuesday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at isolated places over the State.
