Four killed, eight injured in road accidents
Jammu, Apr 29 (UNI) At least four people were killed and eight others injured in two separate road accidents in Jammu and Kashmir today, police sources said.
Two people died on the spot and seven others were injured when a vehicle, they were travelling in, plunged into a 400 feet deep nullah at sharp curved Kasso Morh near famous Patni Top hill resorts here on Jammu-Srinagar national highway.
The deceased were identified as Gurjeet Singh (driver) of Bishna (Jammu) and Kulwinder Singh of Ludiana (Punjab). The injured -- one of them crifically were admitted to hospital at Batote.
In another such incident, two people including a child, died and one woman suffered injuries when a bus while on its way from Jammu to Poonch collieded with a GREF tipper at Choura Chowk near Chewkichoura close to Akhnoor.
The deceased were identified as Mahammad Sajid, 15, (Surankot) and baby Sadaf,5, (Poonch). Surala Devi was admitted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
