Four killed, 52 injured in accident

Coimbatore, Apr 29 (UNI) Four persons were killed and 52 others injured when a state-owned bus collided with a sand-laden lorry at Chinniyampalayam near Palladam about 45km from here today.

Police said while an unidentified woman and lorry driver Prakash were killed on the spot, one Subedha Begum and bus driver Krishnamurthy succumbed to their injuries on way to hospital.

The injured were admitted to Coimbatore Medical College (CMC) Hospital, PSG Hospital and Government Medical College, Palladam, police added.
