Former MP Manjay Lal dies
Patna, Apr 29 (UNI) Former MP and senior JD(U) leader Manjay Lal died here today after prolonged illness.
He was 90.
He is survived by his four sons and a daughter.
Mr Lal was suffering from renal disorder for past few years.
He was brought here recently from All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) in New Delhi.
He was a minister in the Karpuri Thakur government in Bihar and was elected to Lok Sabha from Samastipur parliamentary constituency.
The last rites of the departed leader will be performed tommorrow.
Condoling the death, speaker of Bihar Legislative Assembly Uday Narayan Chaudhry described him as a veteran socialist leader who dedicated his life for the causes of weaker section of the society.
Former Bihar minister and Rajya Sabha MP Captain Jai Narain Nishad also expressed his deep sorrow over the demise of the JD(U) leader.
