COWE to set up an Industrial Park soon

Hyderabad, Apr 29: The Confederation of Women Entrepreneuers (COWE) would set up an Industrial Park soon in the Ranga Reddy district in Andhra Pradesh to promote the women entrepreneurs and various Industries especially food products.

Talking to newspersons here today, COWE President Suman said the organisation had urged the state government to allot 200 acre of land to set up the park. Australian Chamber and COWE would jointly promote special projects for food industries in the state.

Ms Suman said a four-member delegation's recent visit to Australia was to study and explore business opportunities and enhance trade relations between Industry Chambers and Associations in both the countries. The visit was organised and supported by ZDH partnership programme, funded by Ministry of External Affairs, Germany.

During their visit, they participated in field visits, training sessions and meetings with different women business group and officials in Sydney, Brisbane and Ipswich.

COWE delegates also visited the Indian Trade Fair in Melbourne and met the Mayor of Ipswich, Paul Pisasale, Women Network and International Women Federation and Commerce and Industry.

As part of their efforts to promote bilateral trade and encourage women entrepreneurs, an MoU between Indian Women Entrepreneurs Associations and similar organisations in Australia were signed during the visit. The MoU was to promote trade relations between the two countries and to encourage women entrepreneurs to enter into business allilances, she said.

The Secretary of the Association P Soudhamini said COWE would organise a three-day all India Women Trade Fair from September seven in the city for women entrepreneurs across the country to sell their products and services and network for business. Nearly 70 stalls and food courts would come up in the Fair, she added.

Ms Soudhamini said COWE was not for profit and committed to enhance the opportunities for women and to build an economically empowered and indomitable force to sustain the growth of the nation.
