BJP leaders corrupt, says Congress

Hamirpur, Apr 29 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) today said the involvement of several BJP MPs in various scams had proved beyond doubt that its leaders wholly corrupt.

Addressing a press conference here, party's state vice president Rajender Zar said while suspended Lok Sabha MP from Hamirpur Suresh Chandel was involved in ''cash for query scam'', party's MP from Gujarat was arrested for human trafficking.

These two instances had proved that the BJP leaders were more interested in minting money that for taking up the causes of the public who had sent them to the Parliament, he said.

Mr Zar expressed optimism that the people of Hamirpur constituency would inflict a crushing defeat on the BJP in the ensuing Lok Sabha polls, due on June two, for betraying their trust.

Replying to a question on the party's candidate from Hamirpur, he said soon after the name was finalised by the party high command it would be made public.
