Army JCO dies of accidental fire in Kalakot

Jammu, Apr 29: A Junior Commissioned Officer(JCO) today succumbed to an accidental bullet injury inside an army camp at Kalakot in the bordering Rajouri district of Jammu and kashmir, official spokesman said.

Subedar B K Katoch was killed when a bullet hit him due to an accidental fire from a pistol in the army camp, XVI Corps spokesman Col D K Badola told UNI.

"The bullet was discharged when his (Subedar katoch) comrade was checking the weapon before proceeding for a search opreration," he said A Court of Inquiry has been ordered to look into the matter, he informed.
