Apeejay Education Society chairman bags award
New Delhi, Apr 29 (UNI) Industrialist and APJ Education Society chariman Dr Satya Paul today bagged the 'Bharat Gaurav Award-2007' for his contribution in the fields of industry, education, art and culture.
In a glittering ceremony here today, National Theatre Arts Society(NTAS) founder director Pran Sabharwal presented the award to Dr Paul.
Mr Sabharwal, the international co-ordinator of Punjabi theatre movement in the world, said Dr Paul had been an inspiration to many in the world in the fields of social upliftment.
Dr Paul, an industrialist, had set up Apeejay Education Society in 1967 at Jalandhar. The society now runs 13 schools and 14 institutions of higher learning all over the country with 32,000 students.
