Antony 'sees' trouble in pursuing EMS' govt policies

Alappuzha, Apr 29 (UNI) Defence Minister A K Antony today said if the Left Democratic Front (LDF) government in Kerala was trying to pursue the polices of the 1957-Communist government headed by E M S Namboothiripad, it would land in major problems.

Speaking at a party meeting here, he said ''the judiciary, police and the law and order were frozen by the 1957-government and they established their own style of administration.'' He said the then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru had asked how Chief Minister E M S Namboothiripad become so unpopular in a short span of time.

He said it was Pandit Nehru's policy on land reforms that brought in major states, including Kerala, in the country.
