2 bookies held

Bangalore, Apr 29 (UNI) Continuing its drive against betting on cricket, the police today arrested two suspected bookies in the city and seized Rs 1.65 lakh in cash from them.

Police said a team from City Crime Branch raided a house in J J Nagar Area last night while the World Cup final between Australia and Sri Lanka was on and arrested the bookies and seized documents relating to betting and the cash.

This is the sixth such incident that has come to light in the city during the World Cup.
