16 injured in transformer explosion

Lakhimpur Kheri, Apr 29 (UNI) At least 16 persons sustained severe burns in a explosion in an overloaded transformer here toady.

The incident took place in Naurangabad area, where the people got injured by the boiling oil splashed from the transformer explosion, Executive Engineer of the electricity department said.

The injured have been admitted to hospital.
