Woman killed in stoning

Badwani, MP, Apr 28 (UNI) A 24-year-old woman was killed and another injured in stone pelting by the bride's side offended by a song sung by the bridegroom's party during a wedding ceremony at Singun village here, police said today.

Rajpur Station House Officer Anil Vamaniya said Gosania-resident Kasturi Bai died on the spot while the injured woman was admitted to the hospital at Rajpur.

The bride's side resorted to stone throwing after being offended by certain words in the song. Bridegroom's party ran for cover following heavy stone pelting and the marriage was cancelled, police said.
