ULFA associate held with extortion notes

Guwahati, Apr 28 (UNI) The Army today arrested a person, suspected to be an associate of the ULFA, at Dibrugarh in upper Asom.

A security source said the person, identified as Moon Gogoi, was arrested from his house at Dhelaguri under Namrup police station in Dibrugarh district.

Some extortion notes of the ULFA were seized from him.

Meanwhile, Junmoni Barua, who was picked up by the army yesterday, has been remanded to one-day judicial custody.

Police suspects Ms Barua, who is reported to be the fiance of a top ULFA cadre, is an associate of the outfit.
