Two-day programme on BJS' first anniversary
Bhopal, Apr 28 (UNI) A two-day programme will be organised here on April 29 to mark the Bharatiya Jan Shakti's (BJS) first anniversary.
BJS General Secretary Prahlad Patel told reporters here today that a meeting of BJS national-level office bearers and state presidents will participate in the meeting.
The meeting -- to be presided over by BJS President Uma Bharti -- will discuss achievements during the past one year besides deliberating on agitating and organisational programmes.
On April 30, Ms Bharti will do flag-hoisting at a public meeting in Neelam Park here. Party workers would be exhorted to work with full dedication and honesty to make the party more successful in the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections in 2008.
Lashing out at the Congress for not discharging the role of an effective opposition, he said the BJS may not be present in the House but in the next year it would discharge the role of an opposition by launching agitations in public interest.
On fielding candidate for assembly by-election in Shivpuri constituency, Mr Patel said the party election committee would take a decision in this regard.
