Second phase of 'mass marriages' on Aug 26

Vijayawada, Apr 27 (UNI) The Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) will conduct the second phase of mass marriages on August 26 this year, TTD Chairman K Karunakar Reddy said today.

Addressing a press conference here, he said TTD intends to perform such marrages for propogation of Hindu tradition among the people.

The weddings would be conducted by priests in all the TTD Kalyanamandapams and some famous local temples across the state, he said.

In the first phase held on February 22, as many as 5063 couples were married, he recalled.
