Pakistan blast kills 10 people, wounds minister

Islamabad, Apr 28: An explosion in northwest Pakistan killed at least 10 people and wounded 16, including Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao today, according to a provincial official.

The blast occurred as people gathered around the interior minister at the end of a public meeting in Charsada, a town 20 km northeast of Peshawar, the capital of North West Frontier Province. Bacha Gul Wazir, home secretary of the province, told sources he saw blood on the minister's face, but he did not know whose it was.
