OBC Q4 net slips 73.23 pc at Rs 54.86 crore

New Delhi, Apr 28: State-run Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) today posted a net profit of Rs 54.86 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2007, sliding down 73.23 per cent from Rs 204.94 crore during the same period a year ago.

Its total income, however, climbed 27.86 per cent at Rs 1,577.29 crore during Q4FY07 from Rs 1,233.54 crore during Q4FY06.

OBC also declared a dividend of 47 per cent, including an interim dividend of 20 per cent paid earlier, subject to permission by the RBI.

For the year ended March 31, 2007, the bank's net profit stood at Rs 580.81 crore as compared to Rs 557.16 crore during FY06.

Total income during 2006-07 increased to Rs 5,768.16 crore from Rs 4,671.69 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006.
