Gandhinagar, April 28 (UNI) Opposition leader in Gujarat Assembly Arjun Modhwadia today denounced the attack on journalists during their visit to a farm house owned by former Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) chief D G Vanjhara, arrested in the alleged fake encounter case.

Mr Modhwadia said, ''Since Sohrabuddin's wife knew about the encounter conspiracy, she was set ablaze in Vanjhara's farm house at Elol village in Sabarkantha district. Her ashes were dumped in the farm house well. When electronic and print journalists visited the farm house yesterday, they were manhandled by security guards deployed there. The journalists had to run away from there.'' ''It is a highly deplorable incident on the part of Modi government. If the journalists are not safe in Gujarat, safety of common people is at stake here,'' Mr Modhwadia added.
