Members of TN Govt temporary JAs organise rally

Chennai, Apr 28 (UNI) Members of the Tamil Nadu Government Temporary Junior Assistants and Assistants Munnetra Sangam led by their State President M S Anbazhagan today took out a rally from Munroe statue to state guest house here to press their demands.

In a statement, Association General Secretary M K Marimuthu said their demands included,among other things, regularisation of services, time bound scale and death compensation for the family members of 60 temporary employees who died during their service.

While thanking Chief Minister M Karunanidhi for ordering a special recruitment examination for them to regularise their services, Mr Marimuthu appealed to Mr Karunanidhi to give priority for them in the proposed recruitment of government servants.

Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) state President G K Mani, MLA flagged off the rally and leaders of various political parties addressed the employees supporting their demands.
