Israeli soldiers kill Palestinian near Gaza border

Gaza, Apr 28: Israeli soldiers shot dead at least one Palestinian near the border between the Gaza Strip and southern Israel today, Palestinian rescue workers said.

An Israeli army spokeswoman confirmed the incident, saying the soldiers opened fire on three Palestinians militants who were placing explosive devices near the border fence.

The rescue workers said they were searching for any other bodies.
