Tamil Nadu: Four died in lightning

Chennai, Apr 28: Four persons, including a woman, were killed in lightning, accompanied by heavy rain in Tamil Nadu yesterday.

Police said the victims Thannayiram (26) at Thiruvidanallur in Virudhunagar district and Isaq (35) at Kattarangulam in Tirunelveli district were grazing cattles when the lightning struck them.

Pappa (45) and Pitchaivel (70) hailing from Virudhunagar and Tirunelveli districts, respectively also died when lightning struck them while they were engaged in work in the fields, police added.
