Delhi BJP demands Summer action plan in Delhi
New Delhi, Apr 28 (UNI) The Delhi BJP today demanded that the state Government announce a Summer action plan for the city as problems related to power, water and outbreak of disease were likely due to rising temperatures in the capital.
In a statement here, Delhi Pradesh BJP President Harsh Vardhan said,''the summer season is reaching its climax. 50 per cent of areas in the capital are facing serious power and water crises.
Yet the Government has not announced a Summer action plan on time.'' He said due to increasing heat, diseases like cholera, gastroenteritis, eye infections, skin disease, communicable diseases, maleria were likely to spread.
''Not a single hospital has implemented any emergency plan tackle these diseases. There is also scarcity of trained staff and doctors. Medicines have not been purchased for their prevention and no concrete measures have been taken to save serious patients,'' Dr Harshvardhan said.
